Friendship is complicated. I must take what is given and give all that I can. With no expectations and much patience. Friendship is from God. He provides when needed.

Prayer is depending on God.

There are those that compete for the experience and those that compete for the award. It is those that embrace the experience that win the award.

Alligator

Life simple enough that I see my child's spotting of an alligator in the clouds.

Passion can not be contrived and even though you have it presently does not mean you will have it in the future. And that is OK. 

Quotes of the day- not of famous people, but from your children. That is when I know I am enjoying the day with my children. 

Perfection will never be achieved because we are not God. However joy can be held because God gives it freely. Accept your gift of joy today and let your worry turn to a smile. Rest in that place of Knowing that God is the perfect one.

Deep Love

When I was a child I did know of the depth of love that was possible.  My children cannot understand how deeply I love them. Therefore I must often show my love for them. They will understand when they are adults the depths of love.

It is a whole lot easier to believe in nothing than to believe in something/someone.

The two most impactive people in my life met death.

I lived through both. I have purpose and hope.

To be. To be here. To be there.

I want to be a reading tutor, board member, school director, fastest runner I can be, photographer, journalist, CEO, best friend, interior designer, painter, swimmer, elected official, coach, professor, entrepreneur, teacher, motivational speaker, writer, and wedding coordinator.

When I consider accomplishing any of these vocations, I gladly choose to be here in my children's lives and hearts.  Their arms wrapped around me and sweet voices sharing their heart. That is what I have never regretted, being a whole-hearted sold-out MOM. 

Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

A hug.

I will take you just how you are. Jesus has covered up your sin. Just how your daughter's smile erases her disobedience. And you long to hug her tight. Wrapping her in your arms. Oh how I want to hug you. And hold you tight. I take you just how you are.

Pinned to the Floor

Oh Strong Willed Child, you thought you had me pinned to the floor, but no I win the wars. I fight for your freedom and future. I fight for you with all my might. 

You thought I loved your accomplishments more than your character. You thought the pain I would feel would break me. I must admit it was quite unbearable. You had me crying on the floor.

But my strength has been loaded back up again. My pride been crushed but the freshness of humility stands me back up again. 

See it was the remembrance that God picked me as your mother and you as my son. Together we will win this war. These trials are not just for you but for me too. Hand in hand we will win the fight for our souls. We are together in this war. 

We will win. We will win.

NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE, said to me how hard and painful parenting would be.

Seek the Lord, forgiveness.

I wonder what Paul's father and mother thought about their son who seeked to kill Christians. Were their prayers answered when Jesus entered his life and heart.

The more days and years I live the more valuable are those that are old.

With fascination I study the body, marveling in what God created.

With awe I shoot pictures, capturing the beauty God surrounds me with.

With eager delight I live life with my children, discovering and laughing throughout the days.

With a humble heart I seek God, as He responds with grace.

Understanding someone's personality helps to free them from your way and lets them be the way God made them.

I see now how debating can become noncompassionate. Debating without love. Why must you win. God wants us to help others be the winners.

Go beyond equality and choose to be a servant.

I was made for another world.

The secret is to not do everything and yet do everything very well.
